Wine RSF (rallysimfans) RBR Installer version last published 1 week, 2 days agoInstalls the RallySimFans version of Richard Burns RallyFirst download the RSF Installer files from https://rallysimfans.hu/rbr/download.php?download=rsfrbr
You will need a torrent client to do so, for example https://transmissionbt.com/
INSTALLATION:
After downloading the files, you can run the installer and point it to your rsf_installer_files directory
If you are planning to use the RBR Triple Screens plugin (see details below), you can select to install that in the RSF Installer too
After installing the game, it is highly recommended to install a co-driver plugin and better pacenotes.
See here: https://luppisrbr.blogspot.com/p/how-to-install-pacenotes.html
CONTROLLER CONFIGURATION:
If you play using a controller, you will probably notice that by default, the game detects LT/RT (or L2/R2 on playstation) as the same axis, meaning you can't control brake and throttle separately.
To solve this, you should to rebind those buttons to e.g. the right stick x and y axis as those aren't needed for anything in the game.
You can easily rebind buttons using one of the following tools:
sc-controller: https://github.com/C0rn3j/sc-controller
input-remapper: https://github.com/sezanzeb/input-remapper
xboxdrv: https://github.com/xboxdrv/xboxdrv
NOTE: In RSF Launcher, there is an option to "Split xbox gamepad triggers", which in theory should solve the problem too, but this doesn't work on Linux, so keep it off and use one of the tools mentioned above
TRIPLE SCREEN SETUP:
For a triple screen setup you have two good options, using Gamescope or the RBR Triple Screens plugin.
For best performance, using Gamescope is recommended, but will be limited in customization options.
If you have a PC with very good specs, the Triple Screens plugin can work well too, and will offer more control over your in-game screen behaviour.
You should use either Gamescope OR the triple screens plugin, not both.
Using Gamescope:
Make sure you are NOT using the RBR Triple Screens plugin with this.
To use Gamescope, right click on Richard Burns Rally in your Lutris library and go to "Configure" -> "System options".
There in the Gamescope section, choose "Enable Gamescope".
You can then configure resolutions and window modes or even set those options manually in the Custom Settings section.
Your Gamescope resolution should be the combined resolution of all your screens. For example with three 1080p (1920x1080) displays, your Gamescope resolution should be 5760x1080
Example setup (omitted fields are empty):
Window Mode: Borderless
Custom Settings: -W 5760 -H 1080
NOTE: With Gamescope enabled, you should expect to see some visual glitches in RSF Launcher. If you want to configure settings in the launcher, it is recommended to turn Gamescope off temporarily. This removes any graphical issues in the launcher. Then open RSF Launcher and make the changes you want, close it and then turn Gamescope on again
NOTE: In RSF Launcher, go to "Screen & Graphics" and verify that the Resolution matches your Gamescope resolution, for example 5760x1080. If not already listed, you can choose "Custom" and type the resolution manually
Using the RBR Triple Screens plugin:
Make sure you are NOT using Gamescope with this.
Open RSF Launcher and enable the "Triple Screens" option.
NOTE: In RSF Launcher, go into "Screen & Graphics" and verify that the resolution matches your main (middle) monitor's resolution, for example 1920x1080
OTHER INFO:
NOTE: Before launching the game, in the RSF Launcher go to "Screen & Graphics" and there set "Graphics mode" to Vulkan and version to 1.2
NOTE: After closing the game, you will need to manually kill the game's remaining background processes.
To do this, you can use a script with the commands to kill any such processes. For example:
#!/bin/sh
pkill -9 RSF_Launcher.ex
pkill -9 explorer.exe
pkill -9 conhost.exe
pkill -9 rpcss.exe
pkill -9 plugplay.exe
pkill -9 svchost.exe
pkill -9 services.exe
pkill -9 start.exe
pkill -9 start.exe
pkill -9 tabtip.exe
pkill -9 winedevice.exe
pkill -9 wineserver
FPS COUNTERS:
To display your framerate in-game, in RSF Launcher, go to "Screen & Graphics" and enable "Show FPS counter"
Alternatively, you could enable MangoHud by right clicking on the game in your Lutris library and going to "Configure" -> "System options" and there under the "Display" section, enable "FPS counter (MangoHud)".
NOTE: Do NOT use MangoHud with Gamescope, it seems to cause issues. It is recommended to use the built-in FPS counter which can be enabled from RSF Launcher

pcsx2 Sony PlayStation 2 version
Licensed by the late 2001 World Rally Champion, Richard Burns, this rally game tries to find a niche by adding more depth and realism to the racing experience. This is reflected in the car handling, the influence of the weather and the endless tweaking of the car set-up. There are eight officially licensed cars to choose from, with familiar names such as the Subaru Impreza, Citroen Xsara, Peugeot 206, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo and Toyota Corolla, but you need to unlock them by finishing school lessons, winning a rally or making it to the end of a season.
Next to the usual training, quick races, rally seasons and multiplayer mode (only 4-player 'hot-seat'), you can test your skills in the Richard Burns Challenge, a time trial mode in which get the chance to go head to head with Burns himself. There are 36 stages in total, divided over six countries. The in-game music has been produced by Paul Oakenfold, Andy Hunter, Pepe Deluxe and the Plump DJs.
