The Times Exclusive Tomb Raider Level is a single standalone level (it doesn't require a Tomb Raider game to play it) built on the "Tomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation" engine and released for public download on The Times of London website. The level was created to promote the celebration of the anniversary of the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb in the dawn of 20-th century, which was partly financed by the Times newspaper. The Intro to the level shows 3-D model of Peter Stothard, former Times Editor-in-Chief, conversing with Lara Croft as if she were a real person.
The level itself is played similarly to the previous Tomb Raider titles - Lara will need to run and jump, push objects, pull levers, fight enemies with an arsenal of guns and discover the long-lost treasure - Pharaoh's golden mask.
The download package also includes two Tomb Raider-themed puzzles: clicker and jigsaw.
