Tile Racer

Tile Racer is a 3D stunt driving game that attempts to use realistic car physics. The goal is to have fun and beat the clock.

Tile Racer features ten maps to play on and numerous video, graphics, audio, and input settings. Tile Racer even has a level editor to create levels yourself. The level editor uses a drag-and-drop approach that makes it very easy to use.

Frankly, we found the game about as realistic as Need for Speed. Sure, there were a few things that seemed to get the physics correct but what the game was sorely lacking in was car damage. The steering was mushy, the jumps unrealistic and hitting 188 MPH is no easy feat in most cars, especially the Nissan-looking vehicle you get. We doubt the developers have ever jumped a car or truck because we have, and it's pretty tough to get a car as high as they did, at which point, you'd need a new car. Then again, realism is rarely fun.
