    Age of the Ring v9.0 Standalone - Complete LOTR RTS experience
    IMPORTANT: Installation takes 15-20 minutes with no visible progress bar.
    This is normal behavior for the silent installer.

    Dependencies automatically installed:
    - Windows 10 compatibility layer
    - Visual C++ Redistributable 2019
    - DirectX 9 libraries

    The installer uses NSIS silent installation parameters to avoid user interaction.
    Game executable will be located at: drive_c/AgeoftheRing/aotr/lotrbfme2ep1.exe

    For resolution changes, edit:
    drive_c/users/[username]/AppData/Roaming/Age of the Ring/Options.ini

    Known issues: Launcher may not work under Wine, use direct game executable instead.
    If game crashe test lutris-ge-proton8-26-x86_64

It is finally time! Age of the Ring 9.0 is out!

AGE OF THE RING IS NOW STANDALONE

1. You no longer need the original games to play Age of the Ring!
2. Other mods or patches will no longer interfere with Age of the Ring and vice versa!
3. One file, one installation - start playing immediately!
4. Future updates will be distributed through the new launcher!

HOW TO INSTALL

1. Download AotR_Standalone_9.0.0_Installer.zip
2. Extract all the contents of the archive
3. Run the AotR_Standalone_9.0.0_Installer
4. Play the game!

A NOTE ON SAVES AND CUSTOM MAPS

AotR Standalone has its own folder for game saves and custom maps. To bring them over to Standalone, you will need to copy them from AppData\Roaming\My The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king Files to AppData\Roaming\Age of the Ring
PLAYING ONLINE

Playing AotR online has essentially remained the same in Standalone. However, there are some things to keep in mind. The process is explained in detail on our Wiki page.
