Swords of Twilight
released in 1989 by Free Fall Associates published by Electronic ArtsA SWORD LIKE NO OTHER
You expected trasures. You needed elixir. You found THIS.
Your hand reaches for the hilt. The jewels are cold, cold.
Opals chilled with reflection of another world. Of ruined majesties. Of your future.
The blade rises above your head, whispering, waiting. It is weightless in your hand.
It falls through imagined shields like the edge of night.
You know this shimmering light. It is Baleblade, the Sword of Aggression.
BEHOLD THE MIGHTIEST OF BEASTS.
If your conversation arts are good, his secrets are yours.
If not, your hopes vanish in smoke.
STRANGE BEINGS.
STRANGE PLACES.
Fire Elementals, Ogres, Elves know different lore. Win some by warm friendship, impress others with aggression. Moldering ruins, secret-filled towns are the nasty and friendly extremes on 8 parallel worlds, which hide the 7 Swords of Twilight.
Multiple Role-Playing:
Have you always wanted to bring friends along on your computer adventures? Now you can. The "Multi-Player" feature in Swords of Twilight provides a dynamic, non-turn-oriented environment which allows up to 3 players to independently control individual heroes or heriones at once. You can cooperate together, defend one another, or backstab each other. Just like real life.
Swords of Twilight is a real-time RPG for 1-3 players. In 3-player mode, 2 use joysticks, and the third uses the keyboard.
Form your party of 3 from 31 pre-made characters. Characters have different personalities, speed, magic and fighting abilities.
Travel through the 8 parallel worlds (you'll note many similarities) to find the 7 Swords of Twilight. You will talk and/or fight creatures you meet along the way. As time passes your characters will get hungry and sleepy, and if they are not fed or given rest there are consequences.
