Star Wars: Demolition

released in 2000 published by LucasArts
  • libretro Sega Dreamcast version
  • libretro Sony PlayStation version

Trust it to be Jabba the Hutt to break all the rules. Podracing, having been outlawed by the Empire, was soon replaced by an even more dangerous underground sport, Demolition. Unsurprisingly it is a contest that tends to attract the very lowest scum in the universe armed with some devastating weapons and pretty impressive vehicles.

With both single and multi-player modes, the gamer is thrown into a world were survival is the only concern. Whether you choose to be Boba Fett, Aurra Sing, Lando Calrissian or Wade Vox in Luke Skywalker's old Landspeeder, you're going to have quite a battle on your hands.

The other competitors are only half the problem as the combat arenas can be just as deadly. The snowfields of the Rebel base on Hoth are patrolled by imperial AT-Ats and the surface of the second Death Star is studded with scores of laser-equipped Imperial troops. No wonder they call it Star Wars Demolition!
