Star Trek: Armada III

Star Trek: Armada III is a Star Trek mod for the video game Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion created by the Stellar Parallax Studios modding group.

The game allows users to play as either the United Federation of Planets, Klingon Empire, Romulan Star Empire, Cardassian Union/Dominion, or the Borg Collective and is set just before the Dominion War.

The mod has had several major updates since it was released in 2013. The first, Call to Arms, introduced a fifth faction in the joint Cardassian/Dominion faction. In 2016, they expanded the exploration experience of the game with The Final Frontier update. Their next update in 2018 was focused around multiplayer and was namedNemesis. Their last major update was in 2019 with Uprising, which was designed to take advantage of the new mechanics added to Sins from its Minor Factions DLC.

In 2020 revealed that what would be a 1.1 patch for Uprising had grown in scope and would now become another major update for STA3. Unlike the previous major updates this would not be subtitled, instead the mod's name would revert back to simply Star Trek: Armada III as a sign that this would be the groups final major iteration of the mod.

On the 10th of September, 2021 the final version of Star Trek: Armada III was released bringing an end to active development of the mod.
