    You MUST have bought 'Sonic 3 & Knuckles' (for SEGA Mega Drive & Genesis Classics) from the Steam Store and then log into Steam during the installation process with that account you purchased the game on for this installer to work.

    You will need to do parts of the process manually, however the steps will be made obvious to you once manual input is needed. Steam will also need to be installed by the user during the installation process as a prerequisite first.

The fangame, built on the Steam version of Sonic 3 & Knuckles, includes features such as 16:9 widescreen support, constant 60 fps gameplay, a new time attack mode, as well as various bug fixes and minor gameplay tweaks. The fangame requires that the player owns Sonic 3 & Knuckles on Steam (or has access to a Sonic 3 and Knuckles ROM) in order to run, although buying the Steam package is not required. The newest release comes bundled with the Oxygen Engine, which allows the user to debug their modified scripts.
