The origin of all "Ryu ga Gotoku"
Kamurocho, 1995. Kazuma Kiryu is imprisoned for protecting Yumi Sawamura, who was kidnapped by Sohei Dojima, the leader of the Dojima Family, and Akira Nishikiyama, who tried to save her.
Ten years later. Ten billion yen is stolen from the Tojo Clan's vault, and all organizations, including the Tojo Clan, begin to search for Yumi, her sister Mizuki, and Haruka, Mizuki's daughter, who is believed to be the culprit.
Kiryu scrambles through Kamurocho at night to protect Haruka, who holds the key to the missing 10 billion yen.

The story goes deeper in "Ryu ga Gotoku 2"
To avoid an all-out war between the Tojokai and the Omi Rengo, the Tojokai tries to exchange a five-way cup with the Omi Alliance. Kiryu is chosen as a negotiator and heads for Kansai with Daigo Dojima, the son of Sohei Dojima.
Waiting for Kiryu and his team in Osaka were Ryuji Goda of the Omi Alliance and Kaoru Sayama of the Prefectural Police Section 4. Kiryu is at the mercy of the Tojo Clan and the Omi Alliance, and he also confronts the "Jingweon Mafia," an overseas organization with which he once had a history.

Enjoy the whole story in high definition!
The main difference is the high resolution. Comparing the screen shots of the PlayStation 2 and "HD" versions, the difference is obvious.
Signboards and people in the background in the distance can be clearly seen. Enjoy everything in this game with more beautiful graphics.

Shorter loading times
The second difference is that "HD" allows the game data to be installed on the hard disk, greatly reducing load times.
In the PlayStation 2 version, load times were annoying when switching between maps and transitioning to battle scenes, but in "HD" they have been improved to a level that is not so bothersome. It is nice to be able to enter a battle more smoothly.

Enhanced Phone Booth Functions
In addition to the ability to save at phone booths scattered around town, "HD" also allows players to organize their item boxes.
This means that even when your inventory is full of mini-game prizes, you no longer have to go back to your hideout to sort through your items. From now on, head for the phone booth.

Eating and drinking now easier to complete!
At restaurants in town, Kiryu's health can be restored with food and drinks, and he can also receive a reward item for eating his way through the menus of all the restaurants.
In the past, you had to remember which menu items you had eaten, but in "HD," you can now check off the menus you have already eaten.

The package designs of "Ryu ga Gotoku" and "Ryu ga Gotoku 2" have been revived as a set of clear files and dummy packages! The clear file has "Ryu ga Gotoku" on the front and "Ryu ga Gotoku 2" on the back.
The front of the dummy package is the PS2 package design redesigned for the PS3 version, and the product description and screen shots on the back are reproduced as they were on the original package.
Please enjoy the atmosphere of the time just as much as the game itself!
