This build should work on most Linux distros, e.g. Debian based ones.
You must set the terminal to something other than gnome-terminal.

You need libncurses5 or its equivalent installed to run the game.
  • Linux Ncursesw 1.06b version last published 4 weeks, 1 day ago
Some distros, e.g. Arch, use the wide character build of the ncurses library as its standard (ncursesw). This is the build you'll want on those distros.
You must set the terminal to something other than gnome-terminal.

So on Arch you'll need ncurses5-compat-libs to run the game. Again, if you need a 32 bit version, either send me a mail or try the older version 1.05 below (although that uses an older ncurses library).

Frozen Depths is a roguelike game with a cold theme and ASCII graphics.

The land of Glacia has started to freeze all over. The surface people will perish, should the temperature drop much lower. The high council has selected you to go to the Frozen Depths of Glacia, find out the source of coldness and get rid of it. If you return to the surface, you'll be executed as a coward, if you die on the way, another poor one will be sent down through another entrance to the complex, but if you succeed in your quest, you'll become a hero. Many have failed and many will fail... Now you're all alone in the Frozen Depths. Will you make it?
