Welcome to Crusader-Storm!

Crusader-Storm is a free-to-play private server for The Burning Crusade expansion of World of Warcraft. The server offers an authentic and immersive gaming experience and allows the use of either the modern 2.5.3 client for improved graphical performance, or the original 2.4.3 client for those who prefer the older style.

Getting Started

To play on Crusader-Storm, visit the "How To Play" link under the "Game Guide" tab on the left on the Crusader-Storm website! This guide will walk you through the process of creating an account, which you will use to log into both the game and website.
There are no E-mail addresses or personal details required to play on the server. Simply create a username and password and you're ready to go. There is an optional Secret Question / Answer segment that can be filled in when creating an account and can be used in case you forget your password, this can be modified in "Account Management".

About Crusader-Storm

Besides being cross-faction and a few adjustments and QoL changes, Crusader-Storm tries to provide a similar Burning Crusade Classic BlizzLike experience.
Experience rates for level [1-58] are default at x1 but can be changed up to x3 with command ".xp [Rate]".
Experience rates for level [58-70] are locked to x1.
The Crusader-Storm server is defaulted to PvE (Player vs Environment), but players who may want to engage in PvP (Player vs Player) can do so by using the /pvp command. However, be aware that NPCs (Non-Player Characters) from the opposing faction will still be hostile even if you're not flagged for PvP.

Addons that are compatible with WoW’s 2.5.3 / 2.4.3 clients will work on Crusader-Storm and will enable players to customize their interface and gameplay to match their preferences.
Mounts follow the classic TBC progression: the first mounts can be obtained at level 30, faster mounts at level 60, and flying mounts at level 70. To make these more accessible to players, the costs for riding skills and mounts have been reduced by 50%.

The Auction House is shared between Horde and Alliance players, allowing for cross-faction auction sales.
Players can also create characters for both Horde and Alliance factions on the same account, and both factions can trade, mail, message, and group together. Guilds are also cross-faction enabled.

Additional Server Information

Experience Rates.
Experience rates from Level 1-58 can be changed between x1, x2 and x3 with the ".xp [rate]" command. Level 58-70 are locked at x1.

Server Game Type
Crusader-Storm is a PvE focused server, however players can flag themselves for PvP with the the /pvp command. Although it's PvE, the opposing faction's NPCs will still be hostile towards you.

Mounts Information
As with classic TBC, the first mounts can be obtained at level 30, faster mounts at level 60, and flying mounts at level 70. The only changes on the server are that the Riding skill and mount costs have been reduced by 50%.

Server Core
The server's core is based and runs on the CMaNGOS engine.
